Javlon took us through a route that beautifully connected important landmarks. We walked through parks and took metro. We visited places which if not the tour we would have completely missed.

Tashkent Uncovered: History, Culture, Iconic Metro & Food Bites

An extremely thorough tour. Don't be put off by the 4 hour length. The time flies by and the last hour is taken up by lunch at the Plov Centre.

Thoroughly engaging and informative tour. Our teenage kids enjoyed it as much as we did. We saw and learned so much about Tashkent and tried a lot of local delicacies. Would definitely recommend!!

Fabulous tour! Bakhtiyor was so knowledgeable and kind, really well paced with a great mix of everything in the city. He organised taxis for us between places where needed, having lunch together at the end was great. It was a perfect introduction to Tashkent and Uzbekistan in general! Highly recommend!

Highly recommend this tour! It was seamlessly organized and packed with fascinating cultural details. Bahtiyor was more like a friend than a guide, showing us the absolute best of Uzbekistan. Riding the metro and digging into local plov together were major highlights!

What a wonderfully curated free walking tour presented by Donat! I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tashkent. We had the opportunity to ride the metro, explore the bazaar and local market, sample traditional foods, and discover both the old and new sides of this fascinating city. Along the way, Donat shared countless stories, anecdotes, and insights into the amazing history and culture of Tashkent. It was a fantastic way to experience the city, learn about its people and traditions, and see places we might otherwise have missed. Donat made the experience engaging, informative, and thoroughly enjoyable. A wonderful tour and an excellent way to experience a day In Tashkent!

We were a small group of 5 people, which was really nice. Madina speaks English perfectly. I would have preferred to spend less time on the market, as we were going through a lot of the shops.

An excellent walking tour and a great way to discover Tashkent! We visited several interesting places, but the highlight was definitely exploring the bazaar, where Donat took us deep into the market to experience the local atmosphere, taste traditional foods, and interact with locals. It made the experience feel truly authentic. The tour was full of fascinating stories, useful recommendations, and memorable moments. Highly recommended!

I have not tried other options ,saying Donat is the best !(stupid question) . He has a good knowledge of the job. if you be interested in matters about Uzbekistan, central Asia & the late USSR, he could be very helpful to gain more understandings.

This is one of the most unique and memorable walking tours we have been to. Donat feels like a very knowledgeable friend. And I can see how he’s putting a lot of thoughts on designing new interesting walking tours. Tashkent is often just treated as a one-day stop in a trip to Uzbekistan. But Donat has shown Tashkent has more to offer in terms of interesting places to visit, history, and stories that many tourists might miss. We decided to add one more day to Tashkent after this tour (and has registered his other tour too). Highly recommend!

Madina’s walking tour was the perfect introduction to Uzbekistan! She shared so much about Uzbek culture and showed me the metro stations, which were a highlight. She’s very knowledgeable, and you can tell she truly cares about teaching and sharing as much as she can. I learned so much and would highly recommend her tour!

This was an excellent introduction to Tashkent, and Donat was a fantastic guide. We covered so much more ground than I expected, and the bread making in the bazar was a real highlight. Highly recommend!

What a fantastic, multisensory learning experience. I learnt so much about Tashkent and Uzbekestan, laughed a lot, even baked bread and generally had a great time. Donat is incredibly friendly and knows everyone in his area. In the market, we sampled so many different foods and baked bread. We even visited a local house. Cannot recommend highly enough!
