Interesting spots, good historical explanation, excellent added info after questions, shaded and breezy stops. Mirvohid showed us around the lesser and better known sites of central Tashkent. With every sight he brought a lot of interesting and relevant background information and history. He shows old photos and maps and he answered our question very detailed. And not least important, for every part of the tour he chose a nice shaded spot so the tour was very pleasant in spite of the heat.

We got to learn a lot about the history, culture and way of living of the locals to see a real glimpse of the daily lives. Donat was very well informed and answered all our crazy questions really well. His English was perfect and he was very enthusiastic. The tour itself was very good but insufficient for such a city, it's just a start but a great one .

Mirvohid has extensive knowledge on the history of Uzbekistan and je really has the right balance of details and sharpness to convey the important facts and not getting lost into irrelevant details (like « this door built on the 16 July 1432 is 12,46m high… »). He is not the kind of extra friendly guide who will learn all the names, try to speak 2 words in your language and make jokes every 2 minutes. However, you will really gain a fine understanding of what you see and he has a subtile sense of humor that we really appreciated. If your priority is to learn, Mirvohid is the right guy.
