Persone da tutto il mondo visitano Jaisalmer per immergersi nella sua ricca cultura e storia, nelle splendide haveli scolpite nella pietra, patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO e meraviglia dell'India, come il Forte di Jaisalmer, la splendida Gadisar e la vita nel deserto.

Io sono il signor Subhash. I turisti mi chiamano Sébastien. Sono stato accompagnato da turisti da tutto il mondo dal 1990 e li guido sia in città che nel deserto perché ho lavorato come cammelliere per 10 anni nel deserto da adolescente e inoltre pratico yoga e sono un sacerdote indù di mia estrazione, quindi ho una vasta conoscenza della storia di Jaisalmer, dell'arte e del taglio, della flora e della fauna del deserto, dello stile di vita tradizionale della gente del deserto. Poiché la mia famiglia è di estrazione bramina indù, posso darvi la migliore conoscenza sulla religione indù, gli dei thailandesi, il karma, ecc. Ho 48 anni, quindi ho imparato molte cose e ora vorrei condividerle con i miei turisti stranieri.

Sebastian is a friendly and knowledge guy having grown up in the area. Love the little bits of info from when he was a kid.
He is very patient to allow you to take as many photos as you like.
We were able to share some in jokes through the tour which was awesome.
Only suggestion would be to have some food stops on the way as that breaks up the listening, you know it's safe to eat and you're not getting ripped off.

Wir können die Tour mit Subhash "Sebastian" auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Er war pünktlich, freundlich, kennt sich sehr gut aus und hat uns in sehr gutem Englisch viel über das Fort und über die Stadt erzählt. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit mit ihm. Vielen Dank dafür!!

What I really loved about the tour with Sebastian was that he grew up in Jaisalmar and knows every corner. He provides information regarding how it used to be like living in Jaisalmer and how it is now. Of course he also knows all the history. It was fun going around with him on the motorbike, I fell like I really got to know the place

Excellent free walking tour of Jaisalmer Fort from Subhash, who has lived there all his life. Subhash is full of enthusiasm and knowledge, sharing insights and stories no regular guide would know. His kindness and sense of humour make this a great fun thing to do. Highly recommended.

Before starting the walk he asked us which places we are interested in and designed the walk accordingly. We definitely enjoyed our time. Subhash is born and raised in the city and loves this place from the bottom of his heart. And you can really feel that. Beside the guided tour we had some very good and deep conversations which made us understand the place, the culture and the religion a lot better. We really saw this place a little bit through his eyes. ❤️
