Absolutely fantastic tour, we felt taken care of and it was very personal. Beautiful walk with a lot of very helpful tips，historic remarks and cultural observatios. There was no boring script as it is often in such tours - we could ask a lot of questions and it was incredibly interesting. My 25-year-old daughter and I took this tour last week with Camille. The tour of Wenshu Monastery was great, as were the explanations of the crafts on display close by. I was particularly interested in learning about Shu Brocade. We both loved the tour of the market, and at one stall Camille arranged for us to make our own spring dumplings — really delicious, and wrapped in thin wafers, not deep fried. Camille was knowledgeable, interesting, and fun. It was a great introduction to a wonderful part of Chengdu.

We had an amazing free walking tour in Chengdu with Shiraz. He took us to a local food market where we got to try new and authentic Chinese delicacies, which was a great cultural experience. The highlight was definitely celebrating my birthday with a Hotpot, Shiraz helped us choose the food, navigate the menu despite the language barrier, and even assisted us in picking a cake, which made everything so special. It was such a fun, unique, and memorable tour.

I had an amazing experience on this tour! It turned out to be much more insightful and fun than I expected. I even tried tarot and had a really interesting conversation with Yuan. What I loved most was how immersive everything felt. Walking along the Jinjiang River with a local guide really brought the history of Chengdu to life. The mix of culture, stories, and local perspectives made it feel authentic and I couldn’t wish any better. Interacting with locals and experiencing small moments like trying street snacks was the best. It didn’t feel rushed, and there was time to enjoy the relaxed Chengdu vibe, with live street performances and a pleasant river breeze. Absolutely recommended and 5 stars! Great GuruWalk with Melody! She shared loads of food tips — what to try and where to get it, from local specialties to a great bakery — and there was plenty of tasting along the way. We also visited People’s Park and the fascinating Chengdu marriage market and a underground bunker museum. Would highly recommend.

Haoqi asked a colleague to manage the tour and She was a great, it was like being in between a guided tour and visiting a city with a local friend. She made me discover a Taoist temple, a local market and she thought me how to play a traditional card game. Further info about the local culture and mentality have been given according to the questions I asked.

The tour was amazing! 10/10. Yuan is a wonderful person and a great storyteller, she created a warm atmosphere, sharing history facts from past and present, answering all our questions. I especially appreciated how knowledgeable and passionate the guide was, she clearly loves Chengdu, and that enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. I absolutely loved this tour—five stars without hesitation! Yuan is incredibly professional. her knowledge and sense of humour made the whole trip so enjoyable. I’m so glad I made the right choice exploring Chengdu with her. I already knew a bit about Chengdu, but Yuan’s insights showed me so much of its hidden history and culture I’d never known before. Highly recommended, it totally exceeded my expectations!
