Li was great. I booked last minute and despite being the only one who did, she didn't cancel. She was very kind and friendly. And she adapted very well to the curve ball of me telling her that I only eat halal. All in all, great tour. I enjoyed it.

Haoqi was a great tour guide and introduced us to a lot of great local dishes. We walked through a nice local food market und tried some delicious snacks and headed to another place for a traditional tea ceremony and Chinese calligraphy. The second place was really grounding and also the women who did the tea ceremony was really nice. Besides the great tour Haoqi also really saved my ass a few days later when I left my phone in the Didi. She was so supportive and helped me to get it back eventually!! Thank you, Haoqi!!

The tour was really interesting! We visited a local market, where Haoqi explained to us about the food the sellers had and some interesting curiosities about many of the ingredients and products we saw. We also visited a temple. I highly recommend to do the tour with her.

I really enjoyed this tour in Chengdu. The information was very interesting, and I learned a lot about the daily life in China. The activities were well organized and enjoyable. Our guide spoke excellent English, answered all of our questions, and was very friendly throughout the tour. I highly recommend this experience!

So cool experiance! Yuan was really polite, attentive, charming, knowledgeable guide! This tour was exactly what we wanted. We visited a temple and learned a lot about the history and religion. Walking through the food market was really good as we were able to ask questions about some of the food we were unsure of and try some new things. Nice little surprise at the end too. Guide was also happy to ask questions we had about China in general.

We had a wonderful walking tour in Chengdu with Jade as our guide. She was very friendly, passionate, and clearly had a lot of knowledge about the city and its history. What stood out most was her motivation for being a tour guide — she truly wants to share and preserve the stories and history of Chengdu, which made the experience feel very personal. Jade was well prepared and brought many pictures to support the stories she shared, making it easier to imagine how places looked in the past and understand the background behind them. She shared many interesting facts and hidden details that we would never have discovered on our own. We especially enjoyed learning about the history and culture behind the places we visited. The tour was very informative and Jade’s enthusiasm made the long walk enjoyable. One small recommendation for improvement would be to make the route slightly more focused. Although People’s Park was beautiful, we felt that some smaller corners could have been skipped to allow more time for the highlights. The same applies to Kuanzhai Alley, where a more selective route might make the experience even stronger. Overall, we highly recommend this walking tour for anyone who wants to discover Chengdu beyond the typical tourist spots. With Jade’s passion, knowledge, and storytelling, you will not only see the city but also better understand its history and culture.

Li is a top-notch tour guide. She adjusted the tour on our personal needs, made us feel comfortable and told us interesting facts. The location of the food places is a local gem and I neither could find them on google nor via ChatGPT in advance. I learned about the irrigation system, a lost treasure and about Marco Polo. The places were thoughtfully chosen and diversified. Overall a 10/10 experience with Li who’s very likeable and knowledgeable. I highly recommend booking this tour while in Chengdu!

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, and Chang was an amazing guide - I loved learning about the different street and market food specialities of Chengdu and Sichuan and having the opportunity to try some as well (so tasty!) - this tour is the perfect combo of exciting market and street food culture followed by the history and peaceful vibe of walking through the Taoist temple. Highly recommend 💯

We had a wonderful tour with Li and would highly recommend her to anyone visiting Chengdu. The food we got to try throughout the tour was delicious, and it was a great way to experience local cuisine. The historical information and cultural insights were also very interesting and added a lot to the experience. Even though I wasn't able to book in time, Li was incredibly kind and accommodating to me and my friend. She essentially adjusted the tour so that we could still join and enjoy the experience, which we really appreciated. Her insights into the city and local culture were excellent, her English is absolutely perfect, and she brought such great energy to the entire tour. She was friendly, engaging, and made the experience both informative and fun. We had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend her tour to others.

Haoqi was extremely knowledgeable about the local foods. She pointed a million different things that were new to me. As I am new to China she helped me also understand the Chinese apps and how to use them. She also gave me some interesting tips to do with my evening entertainment and helped me book a ticket for Chinese theatre which I thoroughly enjoyed. I can highly recommend Haoqi as a highly professional guide. Thank you Haoqi.

I really enjoyed my evening walking tour of Chengdu with Li. She is personable, was full of interesting information and I saw a side of Chengdu I wouldn't have seen on my own. The walk along the river and into the park with the many varieties of bamboo was relaxing. I would recommend Li's tour if you find yourself in the beautiful city of Chengdu.

Yuan is friendly and very knowledgeable about Chengdu. She knows a lot about history and has a great passion for it. She also suggested good places for us to eat. As others have mentioned, she speaks really good English. Highly recommend her for a tour.

The contact with Haoqi was very agreeable, open, relax. Discovering the food market was realy delightful. I would recommend a small group (we were 3 + Haoqi). We talked not only about food, but about many other things in daily life of Chinese.

I had such a lovely time with Haoqi visiting the foodie market. We sampled a few bits while she explained more about Chengdu cuisine and she helped us pick out some bits for breakfast that we enjoyed together. The tea and calligraphy session was fantastic - the lady was super friendly and it was so calming and relaxing. A lovely morning spent with locals!
