Porto Food Tour

I had an amazing experience on the Bolhao market tour. From the moment I arrived, Sean was very welcoming and he had sn incredible knowledge of the food and culture of Porto. His passion for the local food was evident as he shared fascinating stories about the history of the market.He guided us through the stalls , helping us sample traditional food that we might not have found on our own. What I appreciated most was his willingness to answer all our questions and I truly felt like I was on a tour with a friend. Thank you Sean 😊

I've been to Bolhão Market a few times over the past years, and I always enjoy it. This time, I took a food walk with a cool guide named Sean, and he made it special. Sean is knowledgeable, speaks excellent English, has a great personality. He showed me things in the market that I would have never noticed on my own. For example, he pointed out the street signs inside the market which I have not noticed them before (and now I cannot unsee them)! The market has so many different shops, and it can be hard to know what Portuguese foods to sample. Having Sean there to tell me what's good was a huge help. And as a fan of good food, my favorite part was the seafood stop, I got to try fresh oysters, sea urchin, scallops. They were amazing! It was a day well spent, and I learned so much more about Bolhão. If you want to really see and taste the best of the market, join this food adventure!

If you are looking for a food experience rather than a boring history lessons, this market food walk is perfect for you. My guide, Sean, was not only humorous but also very friendly. The whole experience felt like hanging out with a local friend. I never liked Portuguese egg tarts before, but i discovered one of the best ones during this walk. I’ve taken many free tours in different countries, and this was truly one of the best. Thank you!

My food walk through Bolhão Market was absolutely fantastic! The market itself is so vibrant and lively, with something new to see around every corner. Sean was wonderful. He's charming and has a pleasant demeanor, which made the experience even better. We got to try a few small bites of delicious local food and learned interesting facts about Portuguese food. We also discovered a gorgeous church and some cute spots in the surrounding area, making it feel like a neighborhood adventure rather than just a market visit. For someone who loves taking photos, this walk was a dream, I got so many great shots! It was a day incredibly well spent, and I highly recommend it!

With only 2 days in Porto, joining the food walk at Bolhão Market was the best way to dive into the local culture and cuisine. Sean was an amazing and fun guide, if you want to eat the best Portuguese custard tart, you’ll get to try it. The best bifana, he knows exactly where to find it. Every stop was authentic, delicious, and surprisingly affordable. Sean makes sure you don’t end up in overpriced tourist traps. Along the way, he also showed us a few worthy photo spots, and the walk ended at a rooftop bar with stunning panoramic views of Porto which is rare because most buildings are low-rise in Porto. I never would’ve found it on my own, and sipping a cold drink there was the perfect way to wrap up the 2-hour walk. Highly recommended!
