Free Walking Tour for families in Quito - Suitable for children!

This was possibly the best walking tour I've ever been on. It lasted over 4 hours and honestly felt more like a professional tour than the usual generic walking tours you get in major cities in Europe. The chocolate tasting was worth the tour alone, let alone other tastings, the history told and questions answered. 100% recommend.

Oscar was very friendly, knowledgeable and able to adapt the content to the interests of the group. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with him and highly recommend to everyone who is keen to learn about Quito and feel comfortable navigating around the Old Town.

Tefa is an exceptional Guru who provided a wealth of information. She is very professional and courteous and we all enjoyed her tour.

Oscar was great! He is not only very knowledgeable and shares a lot of information with you but he is also a beautiful person and human being and his mindset is definitely in the right place! Very informative and great fun

Estefania was an energetic and knowledgeable guide who was very engaging and had lots of fun surprises planned for us throughout the tour. She was also very adaptable to our group, and even helped us get a good price for Ecuador jerseys during the World Cup!

Seeing as how I love candies, chocolate, and ice cream - this tour seemed a good fit for me. And yes, we stopped at some shops and restaurants for tastings = very yummy. But the tour was more than eating. I learned a lot about the history of Quito, some historic buildings, and meanings behind gargoyles and crosses placed outside churches. Tefa also took us to a small grocery store that sold produce and said the shop owners don't rip off tourists here. Same price for all. We stopped to talk to an elderly lady on the sidewalk selling taxo fruit for about 15¢ each and I bought a few to eat later in my hotel. I also made a few purchases of candies and returned to the ice cream shop later to buy a cone. I highly recommend taking this tour.

What a fantastic tour! Nicole was awesome, so knowledgeable, full of interesting stories and local history, and her food recommendations were absolutely spot on. This was one of the best walking tours I have ever done! Tefa was super knowledgeable and took us to all the best spots for tastings and gave us some great tips for where to eat, time to visit the churches we went to, where to go shopping, day trips etc! 100% recommend!

The distance walked was reasonable. Stops along the way. The shops the tour went into were good. Good if you only have a few hours to know about the historical town. Good if you take this tour first and spend more time in the neighbourhood later. Felt safe walking around in a small tour group.

We had a great tour with Oscar. It gave a good overview if the historical centre of Quito and shared lits of interesting information about various buildings, culture and history of Quito and Ecuador. He was east going and easy to communicate with. We enjoyed the time we spent with him.

This is a must do if you have a half day to spare in Quito. We saw most of old town. Tefe was knowledgeable about history and anything else we asked her about. We did so many tastings of so many different things. We saw so many little places and pieces of history we would have missed on our own. Tefe's english is perfect. The only options in this review I could choose were that I didn't show or I left halfway, but we definitely stayed the entire time! 10/10, would recommend!
