This was an amazing tour for your first day in Quito. It was the perfect length to do the tour and finish the day at the places you want to go back to. It combined history, random trivia, and tons of stops at cute small shops to taste local treats. Our host was so personable and fun and we had a great time!

Our guide was Oscar who was very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and very kind. We hired him privately to give us a full day tour. Worth every penny. Thank you Oscar.

We hired Oscar privately for the day so we could do three of the GuruWalk tours in one day. We started with Middle of the Earth (excellent!). We couldn’t go up the cable car as the mountain was socked in, so he took us to the local market instead, followed by lunch at a typical Ecuadarian restaurant (delicious!). Then we did the History, Sweets & Treats tour in the Historic Centre. Last but not least was a chocolate education and tasting experience at Yumbos. Oscar was interesting, professional, curious about us, and he kept the day flowing at a good pace without tiring us out. Hiring him privately was a great decision and I highly recommend doing the same if you want to see and do as much as possible. We will leave Quito with fond memories of our time with him.

The PERFECT way to spend an afternoon in Quito. Oscar was so knowledgable and friendly. His English was fluent and he answered all of our questions and chatted to us; the tour felt really personal because of this. We visited some lovely sights and got to try some Ecuadorian sweets, liquors, chocolates. Oscar gave us some great recommendations for the rest of our time in Ecuador and a parrot even told my fortune! I can’t fault this walking tour. One of the most memorable I have ever done, and the best start to ongoing travels!
