Free walking tours in São Luís

Sao Luis is definitely worth a visit. The city is charming and has a rich history. This tour provides you just enough insights into this lovely place. The tour took 1.5 hours instead of the advertised 2.5 - which in my opinion is enough for the smaller historical city center. Our guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable! :) His English should be improved to make communication easier. Other than that, I highly recommend the tour

O tour foi desmarcado pela agência no dia em que agendamos. Recebemos o aviso alguns minutos antes, quando já estávamos no local, mas conseguimos reagendar e o fizemos no dia seguinte. Apesar de ser apenas eu e meu namorado, a guia Jadna foi super atenciosa, trouxe aspectos históricos e sociais muito interessantes e nos levou aos principais pontos do centro histórico de São Luís. Ela conhece a todos no local e trouxe peculiaridades que fizeram a experiência muito enriquecedora. Recomendo. :-)

Mauricio is a Sao Luis local who works at one of the city's museums. He was knows a lot about the history of the city and provided a good introduction to the historic centre.

One of the best historical centers I've visited in the northeast. It's definitely worth continuing your trip by visiting the points indicated on the tour.

Emmanuelle was amazing! I felt like she was a friend, telling us a lot of information in a super nice a light way. She also shared some stories and details about many spots. It was wonderful having the chance to look at the center of the city with her eyes! She shared all her love from the city with us. Made us feel super confortable. Not boring at all! I strongly recommend this tour! It was the cherry of the cake in our trip to São Luís!

The tour in the city centre was super nice, we managed to understand portoghese, because we couldn’t find Tours in English. It was ok, the guide told us in advance about that, so we could decide what it was best for us

It Was PERFECT. I learned a lot about the history of The place and the Guide (Jadna) Was so spiritual and funny that made everything better.

Interessante, embora as questões históricas poderiam ser aprofundadas A política da Empresa de impor uma taxa mínima de R$45 por pessoa acho que deveria ser revista porque vai contra o espírito dos freewalking tours

Jadna é muito simpática e dedicada. Muito profissional e divertida. Bem informada. O Tour deveria começar na Praça da Fé (e não no Cais da Praia Grande). Absurdo cruzar uma rua perigosa ida e volta com ônibus fazendo muito barulho. A experiência seria muito melhor se já começa na Casa de Maranhão

It was a nice and informative tour but I had the feeling that we did not see much auf the city. Moreover it was sometimes hard to understand our guide because we stopped and noisy spots. In the end she told us that we have to pay 45RS for the tour although it is supposed to be a free walking tour so usually people should decide for themselves how much they want to give. That was disappointing as it was not written anywhere

Minha única sugestão é começar o tour em outro lugar, achei meio perigoso ficar atravessando a avenida fora da faixa de pedestre. No mais, foi tudo dentro do esperado, a guia Kauany é bem simpática e soube responder todas as dúvidas. Parabéns! 😘
