29 year old Dubliner who has called Porto home for the best part of 8 years. While studying Spanish and Portuguese in University, I chose Porto as my year abroad and instantly fell in love with the city. I have been working as a tour guide for nearly 5 years with a strong passion for history, politics and food, which I hope to convey on my tours. I also love football but I try to avoid too much of that on my tours!

About the tour

The Irish are famous for their storytelling and affable nature. Why not join in and do a tour with an Irish Guy In Porto?!

Want to discover the wonderful sights, tastes and feels of Porto? Join me on an afternoon to learn why, just under 8 years ago, I chose to call this beautiful city home. With over 4 years of experience in guiding tours through this majestic city's picturesque streets, I strive to give a well-rounded introduction to my adopted home.

In an independent venture, meaning no hard-sells, I hope to give a broad and inclusive selection of recommendations for the rest of your time in Porto. So whether you're a football fan, art lover or military buff I'll be looking out for you. Whether you're vegan, coeliac, jain or just want to try a specific local delicacy I hope to have your back!

This tour is perfect for groups, couples, backpackers, and families; don't worry, I've seen it all before!

Caoimhín was great. Friendly and informative. I have just one comment. Since I was alone, and the only one on the tour, Caomhín asked me at the beginning what I wanted ( which I thought was very courteous) and I said I wanted to cover as much ground as possible and see as much as possible. As it turned out, I felt like we didn't really walk much at all -- we stayed within a very small area of the old city center, and on several occasions we spent at least 20 min, standing in one place talking. Of course I don't mind descriptions and history and anecdotes, that's what I'm on the tour for, but I really felt this tour could have covered a lot more.

Great tour ! Caoimhín made sure to include everyone, incorporating other history references and making sure everyone understands him (including non native English speakers like me).

Tried many of his recommendations they were all good.

Would totally recommend !

It was a great tour! We soaked in everything he said and he had a lot of funny and informative remarks throughout the tour.

Also, since he is not exactly a local, he has some really nice objective vies on the city and the portugese culture.
