The History of Art and Architecture has always moved me, being unlimited fuel for other passions such as travelling and getting in touch with different cultures, perspectives and conceptions of the world. I am a Brazilian Architect who found in the city of Rome itself the school of my dreams. I'm currently an Architecture-Conservation Master's student in Rome, and for me it is natural to perceive the city as a living document ready to be read and appreciated. Therefore, it will be a pleasure for me to share with you some knowledge and enrich your perceptions on the Eternal City, together with its symbols, its paths along History and the magnificent Cultural Heritage it produced for Humanity.

Perfect tour, we all loved it. First of all - the group is small, and as I understood they are kept small intentionally. Everybody was able to talk to Pedro directly during the tour and ask questions, so it was truly more like a friendly walk, not just a rush through all the places of interest. Then, as the group was small and he didn't use a speaker, we were able to enter churches to explore them from inside, which is very unusual and rare for such tours. Pedro even waited in queue with us to enter Pantheon. Broad knowledge of history and architecture were also impressive - we loved his explanations and description of different pieces of art that we came across during the tour. Overall, this tour was certainly one of the most positive impressions from our stay in Rome.

It was a great walk with Pedro, I would definitely recommend a walking tour with him next time you are in Rome. He had a great passion for architecture, which made a huge difference.

He mentioned his goal was not just talk about dates and history, but point out and talk about all little things in each attraction. That very night I was walking with a friend along one of these attractions, I was amazed by how much I knew about that location due to the tour.

Response from Pedro:

Sanjay, I am truly happy that you could walk around Rome with different eyes after the tour and understand the city better. Names and dates generally fade out from our memory, but the stories and connections between monuments and the city remain. That is what I consider to be the most important of all. Knowing the Historical and Cultural contexts of things allows us to perceive the city and other buildings based on a broader perspective, and that's why in the end we learn so much whithout noticing it! Thank you very much for sharing your experience!

This is a great tour! Highly recommended! Pedro is so nice and charming, full of knowledge, stories, anacdotes, and very sensitive eye for the most unique and interesting details. He made us look at the most famous places differently and understand much better the meaning, the context and the greatness of the monuments. It was facenating, enriching and also a lot of fun. Don't miss Pedro's tour!! It is the best!!

Pedro's tour gave us a very comprehensive view on the different periods of architecture of Roma, ancient Rome to more modern times, breaking it down by Popes, architects and powerful families. He made sure that we saw the hidden details in buildings, facades, paintings and sculptures and how to interpret them. We came inside a handful of churches (including the Pantheon) along the route, it was great to observe and discover both the outside and inside with Pedro's knowledge.

Pedro was always aware of where his group was, made sure to stop in shady spots and walk a very reasonable pace.

We very much enjoyed Pedro's tour and highly recommend it!

The tour guide wasnt there. I arrived 10 m early, and he wasnt there. When i ask him why, was because we were Portuguese speakers, and he assume we woulndt go to the tour. As you can see i also speak fluent English. So for me, that wasn't a valid excuse!

Response from Pedro:

Tais Afonso, I am very sorry for the mismatch. Portuguese-speaking participants in the tours in English are always welcome, and such distinctions do not exist. The group was present at the meeting point and the tour occured successfully. I am very sorry, as well as I hope we have further opportunities to make things right. In order to avoid future dismatches or communication failures through messages, I added my telephone number on the description of the tour so that people could contact me directly.
