Hello! I am María, I come from Córdoba, Spain. I studied Art History at the University of Seville, and I am currently living in Salé, near the capital, Rabat. I am part of the SAFTEP Association, which focuses on cultural exchange. I would like to offer guided tours in Rabat and Salé to tell you everything that I have learned about Morocco, its traditions, its religion, art and everything that implies for me to have immersed myself in this culture. My visits can be in Spanish, English or French. Marhebabikum! Welcome!
In this tour we will discover the famous places, the architecture, the art, the museums, investigating especially about the Moroccan culture.
I will tell you everything I have learned during the time that I have been living here, from the perspective of a foreign person who moves to a country with a very different culture and traditions, focusing on how the experience of cultural exchange has been.
The places that we will visit are:
-The wall, which marks the entrance to the Old City (Medina)
-The Zoco (souq), traditional market
-Kasbah Oudaya (fortress)
-Andalusian Garden
-Hassan Tower and Mohammed V Mausoleum
-Archaeological Museum (optional)
-Museum of Contemporary Art (optional)
-Optional visit to the ruins of Chellah
In the entrance of Gare Rabat Ville (train station)
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
