Free Tour Chiang Mai, The Pearl of the North.
Description
- Wat Phra Singh Temple: We will start at 8:00 am at the gate of Wat Phra Singh Temple, learning about the history and architecture of the most important and well-known temple in Chiang Mai. This impressive site is located right in the center of the ancient city, with very beautiful gardens and visited by hundreds of people daily. A great place to learn about Buddhism, architecture, tradition, and the life of monks.
- Wat Chedi Luang Temple: After a walk through the streets of the ancient city of Chiang Mai, we will visit another of Chiang Mai's jewels. Also known as the fortress temple, the Wat Chedi Luang complex is an ancient temple used as a fortress to protect goods and the monarchy from Burmese invasions. Inside the complex, we will see the enormous chedi where the Emerald Buddha was once kept.
- Wat Phantao Temple, a beautiful and tranquil wooden monastery that stands out for its traditional northern Thai architecture. There, along with our Spanish-speaking guide, we will learn more about the Buddhist religion, its rituals, and the symbolism present in every corner of the temple. It will be a perfect opportunity to end the tour with an enriching cultural experience.
- Explanation and End of the Tour: around 10:00-11:00 am.
