Tour description

Would you like to join us on our route through the city of Úbeda? Our local guides will start their tour from the wonderful Plaza de Andalucía, the center of our city and where the Clock Tower is located, built on the old Arab wall and where the image of Our Lady of the Remedies is located, before which Emperor Carlos V and later his son Felipe II swore to keep the privileges and privileges of the city. We continue our way to the San Lorenzo neighborhood, where we can admire the church of Santo Domingo, the moon and sun house, strolling through those Arab streets we will arrive at the Medieval Tower of Portillo del Santo Cristo, where we can see its interior and get to know the walled Úbeda , we will be able to see the Casa de las Torres and its stones will tell us the famous legend of the sandwich, the Church of San Lorenzo and we will pass through the door of Granada, to go to the Plaza Vázquez de Molina, where without almost moving from the site we will be able to know the history of the most emblematic buildings of the city. We will start with the Palace of Juan Vázquez de Molina, we will see, among other things, one of the best examples of a Renaissance patio, made by the great architect Andrés de Vandelvira, we will contemplate our Minor Basilica, Santa María de los Reales Alcázares, (third church of the diocese of Jaén) transformed over the centuries by the different cultures that inhabited Úbeda. We continue on our way seeing the so-called Bishop's Prison, the Palace of the Marqués de Mancera, the Old Pósito and the Renaissance Fountain (gift from the Venetian Senate to Francisco de los Cobos) while we head inside the Palace of Deán Ortega. We cannot leave this square without seeing the Sacred Chapel of the Savior of the World, Funerary Pantheon of the Secretary of Carlos I of Spain and V of Germany, to continue towards the neighborhood of San Pablo, where the first public fountain of Úbeda is located, the Old Town Hall and the Church of San Pablo, which gives its name to the neighborhood. Visit Úbeda with our guides for free and you can visit the most emblematic, picturesque and beautiful places.
