Modernism was the artistic style of the bourgeoisie , which showed its social and economic power in its cities through its houses commissioned by relevant artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
This artistic movement includes both architecture and decoration , displaying a non-religious iconographic program that draws on very different artistic sources, giving rise to wonderful legacies such as that of Gaudí in Barcelona, who created his own language within the movement, or unique houses today. put in value such as the Casa Lis de Salamanca , museum of Art Deco and Art Nouveau , a current derived from Modernism itself.
Valladolid preserves magnificent examples of this style , which we will visit delving into its history and its historical and artistic context during this surprising and interesting circular tour.
