Tour description

Join me for a walk-through unique Old City of Vienna. Together we will explore and discover the stories, legends, and tales in the old part of Vienna.

Get a closer look at Vienna’s most interesting and unique sites, and learn about the city’s long history and diverse culture on a walking tour with the Viennese tales.

In the first district of the city, we will see the walls from the medieval time. I will tell you about the legend of “Dear Augustine”. Also, I will share stories about life in the metropolis that was the center of the Holy Roman Empire for more than 600 years.

Vienna and music: A walk through Vienna is impossible without visiting one of the houses where the maestro Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart lived, which is a Museum now. This is the best place to talk about Mozart's legacy that moves Vienna’s concerts scene till today.

Coffee and croissant: In one of the alleys, we will discover how coffee has become an everyday ritual and since when bakers in Vienna have been baking the popular croissants and pretzels.

At the Hoher Markt we will see the Anker clock. An extraordinary watch, that was invented by Franz von Matsch in the time of Art Nouveau at the beginning of the 20th Century.

After ca. two hours, our journey ends at the Cathedral of St. Stephan in the city center.

I’m looking forward to seeing you in Vienna!

Sincierly Yours Mirko!

Mirko was nice and fun. He gave a blink about the history of important moments of Vienna’s culture and society and was polite. It was a agreeable tour.

The tour was very interesting for me because it was not a classic sightseeing tour but was rather focused on other not so touristic places still located in the inner city. Mirko told us a lot of legends about buildings in Vienna and interesting historical fun facts. I definitely recommend this tour when in Vienna!

We took a tour of the old city Vienna with Mirko and thoroughly enjoyed the 2+ hours with him. Mirko is personable, informative, fun and projects the enthusiasm for sharing the history of Vienna with the visitors. The route is well thought out. We got an overview of the architecture and history, and even a mini performance, as Mirko would sing the songs he was referring to in his tour. He is fun and entertaining and we highly recommend him to anyone visiting Vienna.
