About the Guru

Showing and teaching the culture and representative sites of my country to my own and visitors motivates me to improve every day as a professional guide, the learning that I obtain with these experiences allows me to give more of myself to future visiting tourists. I know mostly the capital cities of my country and their stories, but I also want to know new cultures.

About the Tour

Santa Marta is defined as a colonial city, the oldest in South America, close to 500 years of its founding. From the moment that this city was founded by the advanced Rodrigo Galván de Bastidas, its history has been immersed in betrayals, intrigues, looting by pirates and corsairs, fires and earthquakes, independence and civil wars.
Likewise, this city, twice holy is known as "the faithful and hospitable", "the tourist pearl of America" , in addition, the locals boast of living in a city that has "the Magic of having everything" : the sea with innumerable beaches, rivers and the majestic Sierra Nevada, give an account of it.

The historic center of Santa Marta was declared a national monument in 1959 and in 1997, Asset of Cultural Interest of National Character. Which was recovered in an initial phase by the national and local government, being inaugurated on December 10, 2009.

So I invite you to listen to its history through its historic center.

Did you know that Simón Bolívar , the liberator of 5 nations, spent his last 17 days of life in the twice holy city? And that his exposed remains were about to be thrown into the sea by his enemies who still hated him? I will indicate the place where the liberator disembarked on December 1, 1830, where he was veiled in a burning chamber and later the place where he was buried.

I will take you where others do not take you and I will tell you what others do not dare to tell you. Especially the little secrets that the San Miguel cemetery hides.

The historic center of Santa Marta is divided into 7 sectors, our adventure begins in the port sector and ends in the marine sector.
