I have loved telling stories since I was a child, because sharing my fascination with stories and adventure is a pillar of my life. Storytelling led me to study journalism. During my studies I got to know the tourism industry and since 2017 I have been able to live the beautiful experience of being a tour guide. Sharing my little piece of the world with those who are interested in my beautiful country made me want to learn more about history, culture, politics and curiosities. Together with my friend María Paula, a sociologist, we have made this beautiful project that shows us the importance of memory, reconciliation and peace.

Tour description

Do you want to truly understand what's happened in Colombia over the past seven decades? Are you interested in going beyond the Netflix versions and discovering what lies behind the stories of war, drug trafficking, guerrillas, and peace ?

Then this tour is for you! Building Peace is not just any tourist visit. It's a profound journey through the heart of Bogotá, where we weave together questions, memories, and reflections. Here, we won't tell you the official story; we'll share with you the voices that have been silenced, the faces that resisted, and the struggles that are still alive.

We visited key places in the historic center such as:

📍 Santander Park
Memorial of Jorge Eliécer Gaitán
📍 Seventh Race
📍 La Candelaria
📍 Bolívar Square
📍 Plaza Núñez
📍 And the powerful Fragments , the counter-monument made with melted weapons from the oldest guerrilla group in America.

During the tour, we discussed the armed conflict, drug trafficking, the peace process, and the ways in which communities have resisted violence. We reflected on reparations , truth , and the possibilities for real and lasting peace .

Our tour, more than a tourist attraction, is an act of love and resilience for peace in Colombia. We do it because we believe in the power of memory, because we refuse to forget, and because we want to share with the world another way of walking our country.

🕊️ This tour is a hobby for us. It's not our main job, but rather an educational and political commitment we make with all our hearts. Therefore, we ask that each reservation be for at least three people so we can guarantee its success.

Come walk through memory. Come hear what still beats in the streets of Bogotá.
