Free Walking Tours at Lyon

Ryan was a great tour guide! Lots of local information too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this tour.

Had a wonderful time with Bertand and the smaller group. I truly appreciated the “heatwave” special as it was basically 100 degrees! I left with stories and a lovely 2 hrs spent.💕

Very-super-highly recommended! Had a really pleasant walk around old town traboule and despite very hot weather the tour was comfortable. Bertrand is is very charismatic and really a fan of Lyon :) the tour has really changed my opinion about the city. I was really sorry that I had only 10€ with me Bertrand's tour is really deserve more than that!

Really enjoyed tour of Lyon with Bertrand. Was boiling hot weather but Bertrand chose great routes (particularly in the old town) that kept the whole group cool. Bertrand was very entertaining and provided lots of interesting information. I would highly recommend the tour.

Jonathan was a great tour guide. He is knowledgeable. He showed us many interesting places and told us many fascinating stories. The timing and pace of the tour was perfectly managed. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. I highly recommend this tour.

Charlotte gave us an interesting and personal tour. She walked us through the streets and passage ways (traboule) of Croix-Rousse, that were full of intrigue and character. There were some amazing views along the route looking over the city. The tour introduced us to the complex history of Lyon and the way of life of the silk workers. We got plenty time to ask questions on the tour and had some nice conversations with Charlotte. She also had great recommendations for food! Ask her for tips on your tours!

Diego was a lovely host in the city he is leaving in. He knows the history perfectly and have the fuuny stories to tell. Also it was fun to use traboules to walk through the old city. Highly recommended.

Marius(spelling ??) was so great. He did the entire tour in slow French to help me out. That was above and beyond and I so appreciated it.

Buscando un tour, suelo fijarme en las calificaciones, respeto opiniones de otros usuarios, pero realmente contradiciendo lo que leí, como viajero e historiador este es un tour completísimo, increíble; te hacen reconocer la ciudad en poco tiempo, entiendes su historia, cultura gastronomía, y anécdotas increíbles, que no te enteras si no tomas un tour con un profesional como Jonathan. Se nota su pasión por lo que hace. Volveré a Lyon. Muchas gracias, por la bonita experiencia y seguiré todas sus recomendaciones.

We loved our walking tour with Ryan! It was informative and funny. He included many pieces of history from the area and explained the different parts of town while also sharing his favorite recommendations. Would absolutely recommend to anyone who is visiting Lyon.

Paul's tour is really interesting, and even though it lasts about 2 hours, it's not tiring. We stopped at strategic points along the way, avoiding the sun for the most part. I took this free walking tour right in the middle of a heat wave, and no one in the group said they felt sick at any point. Paul even gave us tips on activities to do throughout the day to escape the heat. It was a mix of city history and interesting facts about street art. I really enjoyed the tour.
