Tour description

Tour by metro
Today Tashkent is the modern capital of Uzbekistan, which practically has not preserved ancient landmarks as opposed to Samarkand, Khiva and Bukhara. But it has its own sights. One of them is the Tashkent Metro, the first underground transport in Central Asia.

Construction of the Tashkent metro began two years later after the destructive earthquake in 1966. Also the increase of population in the capital caused to the construction of rapid and comfortable public transport system. First line of metro opened in 1977 in honor of 60th anniversary of the USSR and connected the most populous district Chilanzar with the center of the city

The guide arrived right on time. Showed us all the main as well as off beat places. Really took the effort in covering many places. Understood the rhythm of the group. Very informative packed with facts and history.

A disappointing experience generally. Mirvohid kept changing the time of the Metro tour and finally turned up very late. But was obviously distracted and rushed through our tour because he had another tour with a bigger group. Would not recommend unless he is interested in what he's doing, certainly had all the information, but body language and delivery were poor!

El guía no confirmó el tour y luego me escribió para decirme que me uniera al tour pero fue distinto al que había reservado, no esperaba a la gente para la explicación, información pobre muy aburrido

Mirvohid is an excellent tour guide and a Tashkent local. I learnt so much from him as he explained the ancient history of Uzbekistan, the USSR period and now. I found out he was a teacher, this explains his precision with many interesting facts. I wholeheartedly recommend his tours, he is friendly, professional. I also found him to be kind and humble as a fellow human being. 10 out of 10 stars. 🤩
