Free walking tours in Tashkent

The free guide tour was absolutely stunning!🥰 We visited metro stations, Chorsu bazaar, we made bread and even we were invited into the typical household of Uzbeks. It was the best free guide tour which I have ever visited🫶🏻 (I visited 3 or 4). Danat was really great, he explained everything and he knew so much information about history, culture and the city! Thank you so much🌸🌷🌼

Today I spent almost all the day in Tashkent. First I joined a group and as luck would have it, Donat, our guide was a guide par-excellence, knowledgeable and with an excellent way of conveying the information And Dan had only two ‘touristlars’ me and Jason from New Jersey US, but living in China. So our little trio first started at Kosmonavtlar (“Cosmonauts”) underground station considered to be perhaps most beautiful in the Tashkent Metro. Our friendly guide combining facts with folklore and a sense of humour made our ride to the metro really worthwhile I got on to the air conditioning train to see and admire another to stops We got out Chorsu bazaar underground station Yet again Dan took us around this delightful bazaar, I could see his friendliness with the vendors and with his help I absolutely enjoyed every moment around this special venue Later on Dan took us around the old part which was in the process of what Dan described as ‘getting a facelift’ Dan had one or two tricks under his sleeve. He had arranged for two families in the area to let us in their inner court yards where we had a little glimpse of Uzbek way of living …really a privilege. Whilst giving this feedback for Dan I would like to stress out that how long it takes to learn the ins and outs of of this profession, having been for a long time a tour guide myself and Dan with his great personality and studious mind has really mastered it and making my short stay in this great city even more enjoyable

Donat was amazing - he was very knowledgeable, friendly, funny. There was great variety in the tour - history, food, architecture, culture. Sampling food and making bread at the bazaar was awesome (or zor in Uzbek). The old town was cool too, especially going into a family home. And the metro stations and other historical aspects were really interesting. Highly recommend!!!

azaming walk i had a wonderful morning in Tashkent

I had such a wonderful day with Javlon! I really felt like I was hanging out with a friend! We ate some delicious food, had really interesting conversations and I learnt a lot of new things! It was so nice to see daily life and be away from the touristy spots. I recommend this tour and Javlon to everyone - you won't regret it!

Lustige Tour, verschiedene Aktivitäten und nette Gespräche!

This was a really fascinating tour focusing on the relatively modern part of Uzbekistan/ Tashkent’s history. Excellent complement to the other tour on the old town! Highlight for me was visiting the top floors of Hotel Uzbekistan, which we would not have known to visit otherwise. Donat also gave us excellent food recs!

Good guide

Donat who likes to call himself Don was on time. He was very courteous and jolly. We covered prominent metro stations then roam around choksa bazaar while tasting local food, bread and sweets thanks to Don. We walked to musium of Islam through old town and completed tour there. We spend good 3 hours with good company of 4 other fellow travelers and excellent guru Don.

We had a wonderful experience on this walking tour! Our guide was absolutely amazing—knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing the history and culture of the area. He made every stop interesting with fascinating stories and local insights, and were always happy to answer questions. We entered the Uzbekistan Hotel and had a walk in the park in front of it. The tour was well-organized, engaging, and the perfect pace. Thanks to Donat, we discovered places and details we would have completely missed on our own. In his blue folder, he has many pics he uses to tell story about every place! I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. A truly memorable experience!

Great tour, very informative and fun

Donat’s tour is really something unique. We have participated in many walking tours globally, but this one is one we will remember. Donat speaks incredible English and was always prepared to go into more depth, and answer the political and cultural questions we had. He was funny and made sure we were comfortable the entire tour. As for the area, it really feels surreal being the only tourists there, as it is relatively unknown. Donat is doing a fantastic job of putting this district “on the map” — and rightfully so. If you’re interested in a unique experience in Tashkent that goes beyond the mainstream tourist attractions, you will not be disappointed with this tour led by Donat! It is marvellous that he launched this tour just a few months ago, as the professionalism was off the scale :)
