Free tour Montmartre "the bohemian quarter"
Hello friends, I am Luis, a guide in Paris with a background in architecture and languages. I am passionate about teaching and sharing my knowledge with everyone. Paris is a city that has a lot to offer and which I would love to show you in a fun and entertaining way.
Tour description
Montmartre is a neighborhood that is closely linked to cabarets, mills, history and art. Our tour will be focused mainly on these aspects of the place and on discovering how all this is related.
We will start just behind the exit of the " blanche " metro station diagonal to the Moulin Rouge , the most famous cabaret in Paris and one of the places that we cannot miss when coming to Paris, we will continue visiting the cafe where part of the famous movie “ Amelie ” and we will stop in front of what was the residence of Théo van Gogh and where Vincent van Gogh lived for 2 years. Later we will see Le Moulin de la Galette , the only original mill that remains in Montmartre and we will know its history. Our next stop will be the Dalida square and the restaurant "Maison rose" famous for having belonged to one of Pablo Picasso 's lovers and then we will arrive at my favorite place in Montmartre, the vineyard and the oldest cabaret in Montmartre " Au Lapin agile ” which in Spanish means “agile rabbit” a place that hides many particular anecdotes and stories that I am sure you will love. Then we will have a stop to observe the city of " Saint-Denis" and talk about its history and its relationship with Montmartre and finally we will arrive at the Sacré Coeur where we will end the tour.
During the tour I will ask you some questions about the previous points since each place has some relationship with the others and in this way we will make our tour very dynamic and fun while we learn at the same time , so I hope you are attentive and have a good memory.
I wait for you!
