Hi, I'm Yael and I live in Tiberias, Originally from Tel Aviv and born in the USA. I am 10th generation in Israel. My family came to the region in the late 18th century.
Walk through the streets of downtown Tiberias, learn of its magnificent history since Roman times. Depending on time and focus of the tour we will include tasting local treats, meeting local people, and discovering daily life.
The tour will include walking through the downtown area, crossing the promenade, hearing about its history, seeing the synagogues, mosques, churches, and monasteries, and hearing the related history.
We’ll walk up Dona Gracia street along the city wall built by Daher Omar and hear the fascinating story of Dona Gracia.
We’ll finish at the tomb of Maimonides.
If time allows we’ll add more items to the itinerary.
Last minute booking could be a problem. Walkers should bring water and sun protection.

Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
