The artistic movement of Mexican Muralism is famous worldwide for its striking wall paintings and for being a reflection of the Mexican essence. Join us and discover why this artistic movement marked the history of Mexico!
We will begin our tour at the Municipal Palace (City Hall), where we will see the first mural paintings that depict episodes about the founding of our city and admire the building's beautiful Spanish-influenced architecture.
Next, we will visit the beautiful Ibero-American Library, where we will see a mural that was one of the first of this movement, created in the 1920s by one of the most famous Mexican painters: David Alfaro Siqueiros.
We will head to the Government Palace, a colonial building where we will appreciate some impressive mural paintings by José Clemente Orozco, one of the most important Mexican painters.
Afterwards, we will stroll through the beautiful alleys of Guadalajara to end our tour at a beautiful place that is also a World Heritage Site: The Cabañas Museum, where we can admire some incredible paintings that will leave you speechless, considered the masterpiece of Clemente Orozco, undoubtedly an excellent place to end our tour.
