Free Theatrical Tour: From Madrid to Hell
Tour description
The Holy Inquisition. Gruesome murders. Ghosts lurking in the streets. A sculpture dedicated to the devil. Madrid is the cradle of sin. A mysterious figure awaits you, ready to be explored in depth. Who is he? What is he doing here? Why have you answered his call? If you dare to discover him, you can find him at nightfall in the Plaza de la Villa. All at your own risk: once you do, there's no turning back. Welcome to hell.
Night falls, someone is waiting for you. They know you are curious and want to delve into the dark side of Madrid. Enter at your own risk.
You will begin your descent into hell in the Plaza de la Villa , where the royal guard Don Juan strayed from the straight and narrow. Next, you will pass by one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe, to remedy your deepest ills. You will gaze at the heavens for a few moments only to encounter something unexpected. On Mirror Street, you will learn who painted the horrors of Madrid better than anyone else. A gunshot will ring out near the Plazuela de Santiago, and on the way to the parapet of the council, the smell of burning will begin to fill the air.
To liven things up, you'll hold an auto-da-fé in the Plaza de la Cruz Verde and discover that the Inquisition's interrogations were very creative, perhaps too creative...
Perhaps an exorcism will have to be performed near the Church of San Pedro el Viejo to exorcise your demons before we begin the final climb to Plaza del Cordón and Plaza del Conde de Miranda , where a sinister "love" story awaits us. You won't be able to leave without staging a duel to the death on Calle del Codo, with an exceptional witness.
Dare to discover the hidden side of Madrid?
