We will start our tour at the Eiffel Tower. I will provide you with a short overview of Gustave Eiffel as well as some of his other monuments. The 30 years of his life were enriched by a history full of new developments. I will give you all the key information on this. In this area there was once a massive and beautiful palace named Trocadero, the story of which you will find out.
From there we will walk towards the Champs de Mars Park, then onto the military school which the young Bonaparte attended. I will give you more detailed explanations as we go along.
Next we will head to the Invalides, the glory of louis XIV and the monarchy under Napoleon Bonaparte. This is where Napoleon's impressive tumb lies, including the tumbs of other political figures.
Our walk will continue towards the Army Museum, one of France's largest military museums, which opened its doors in 1796.
Finally, we will have the opportunity to get a glance of the statue of Auguste Rodin (the thinker). This statue is located in the nearby garden of the Rodin Museum.
At the end of our walk, if you feel like a snack and/or a drink, I can recommend you a stroll down the 'Rue Clerc', a nice food market street which is in the neighbourhood.
