Tour description

Explore the artistic and cultural wealth of Bogotá on our museum tour, which includes visits to some of the most representative museums in the city center. Immerse yourself in a unique experience that celebrates the diversity and creativity of the Colombian capital. We will visit:

Casa Marqués de San Jorge Archaeological Museum : The “MUSA” Archaeological Museum is located in the Casa del Marqués de San Jorge , a building that dates back to the 18th century. The mansion, located in the colonial neighborhood of La Candelaria, has a beautiful central patio and is an example of the colonial style of the viceroyalty era. The museum houses a collection of pre-Columbian ceramic pieces belonging to cultures such as the Muisca, the Chimila, the Calima and the Guane.

Colonial Museum : Founded in 1942 , the Colonial Museum occupies the Cloister of the Classrooms , one of the oldest buildings in Bogotá. Its collection of 1605 objects comes from donations and purchases from individuals. The cloister, with a rich history that includes uses as a prison and headquarters of the Admirable Congress facility, now houses objects that reflect the development and social and economic transformations of Bogotá between the 16th and 18th centuries.

Bogotá Museum : The Bogotá Museum was previously known as the Museum of Urban Development. Its collection of more than 24,000 objects includes historical photographs, city plans, and treasures such as the Centennial and Bicentennial Urns . In addition to being a museum, it is an educational space that offers workshops, talks and tours. The museum addresses the complexity and diversity of Bogotá, from its geography to its current tensions and conflicts.

Botero Museum , located in Bogotá , is a sanctuary of art and beauty that invites you to explore the genius of one of the greatest Colombian artists, Fernando Botero . Founded in 2000 thanks to a donation from the master himself, this museum houses an exceptional collection of masterpieces of modern and contemporary art from around the world. The exhibition includes more than 100 works by Botero and 85 by prominent international artists.

Conclusion: By the conclusion of our museum tour in Bogotá, you will have experienced a wide range of artistic and cultural expressions that will enrich your understanding of the Colombian capital. Join us to discover Bogotá's fascinating art scene.
