Guided tour through the charming historic center of La Orotava

La Orotava is located in the north of the island of Tenerife. After the Castilian conquest in the 15th century, La Orotava began to develop as an important agricultural center, thanks to its fertile lands and favorable climate.

During the colonial era, La Orotava thrived with the cultivation of sugar cane and wine, becoming a key point for trade with Europe and America. The wealthy families of the time built majestic manor houses and palaces, many of which can still be admired today. 

La Orotava is also known for its rich cultural and artistic tradition. Every year, during the Corpus Christi festival, the streets are adorned with carpets of flowers and sands from Teide, creating a visual spectacle that attracts visitors from all over the world.
