Throughout our journey, we'll discover not only the story of the real Peaky Blinders, a criminal gang that operated in Birmingham in the late 19th century, but also how the series has used iconic locations from the city to build its universe.
We'll walk through the Piccadilly Gallery, a place that combines contemporary art and tradition, reflecting the blend of past and present that characterizes both Birmingham and the series.
Next, we'll walk down historic Edmund Street, where the Victorian architecture transports us back to the industrial era that was the setting for the rise of gangs like the Peaky Blinders.
The World Wars Memorial opens the door to Birmingham's iconic canals, used by the fictional and real Peaky Blinders for their smuggling and shady dealings.
Today, we'll walk through history and myth, between the real places where the band originated and the places that made the Shelby family famous. So, without further ado, let's begin our journey in order of the Peaky Blinders!
