Different from traditional guided tours(visiting places one by one and getting to know the important dates and stories), mine might be more personal, interactive and down to earth.

Meeting point:
People's Park
I will be waiting at the metro station(Exit B, People's Park, Line 2), with a bottle of water in my left hand. You will not miss me!
The Chinese name of the meeting point is 人民公园地铁站B口, you may show it to your Didi(Taxi) driver.

Heming Tea House
There are several tea houses in the park. Heming is the largest, with best tables overlooking the lake and surrounded by the green. This iconic traditional teahouse is enjoyed by locals and visitors alike.

Chengdu Marriage Market(Matchmaking Corner)
A typical Chinese phenomenon: anxious parents of unmarried adults gather in the park every day from early morning to late afternoon to trade information on their children.

Outside visit
Monument to the Martyrs of the Railway Protection Movement
Located in the northwest of People's Park and built in 1913, it is a memorial building to commemorate the martyrs who died in the Sichuan Road Protection Movement in 1911. The Sichuan Road Protection Movement was one of the prominent historical events during the Revolution of 1911(China's anti-imperialist and anti-feudal revolution). Nowadays, people are playing Taiji, dancing, writing calligraphy in front of the monument.
