Hi everyone! My name is Kasia — it’s so nice to meet you! Before we begin the tour, I’d love to say a few words about myself. I’m originally from Poland, born and raised here in Kraków. In 2008, I moved to London, where I spent most of my time working in tourism-related fields — gastronomy, hospitality, and even a museum. In 2018, I graduated from Middlesex University in London with a degree in International Tourism Management. While studying, I came across the idea of free walking tours, and I absolutely loved it. Even back then, I had the dream of becoming a tour guide — my tutors and friends often said I had a natural way with people and loved sharing stories. Still, I chose to build a career in the hotel industry first. Tourism and connecting with travelers have always been close to my heart. That’s one of the reasons I spent so much time abroad — to learn languages, explore cultures, and meet people from all over the world. I also love to travel myself. At one point, I lived in Spain — near Barcelona — in a town called Sant Cugat del Vallès, where I worked in the automotive industry for about seven months. A few months ago, I moved back to Poland — and I was amazed by how much has changed and how fast the country is growing. I started reading more, exploring my surroundings, and even joined some history classes. Kazimierz has always been a special place for me — I loved coming here for a morning coffee or popping into the Old Synagogue museum to discover more about Jewish culture and traditions. After taking part in so many free walking tours myself — not only here in Kraków, but all around the world — I finally decided it’s time to be on the other side, as a guide. That’s why I created this tour: “Jewish Essentials 3in1” — all about Jewish culture and the most important attractions connected to it here in Kraków. This is a donation-based tour. Any money you decide to give will help support my education.

Schindler’s Enamel Factory Museum (Schindler’s Factory): Conclusion of the tour. For morning groups, consider purchasing a museum ticket afterward—Schindler’s Factory is well worth a visit!. Tours after 17:30 we wont go to the factory.

Important information for this tour.

In case of heavy rain or snow, we will start our tour either in the museum or a coffee shop which will might add additional cost.

Only from December until March during week days tour is shorter and include only Kazimierz Quarter+ stop for a complimentary free hot drink- more details will be sent when you book the tour.

Until end of November evening tours that start after 17:30 during tours will finish at Ghetto Square instead of in the front of the Schindler's factory.

From April everything is coming back to normal. Changes are implemented due to a winter time.

During my tours I play videos, follow presentations and pictures. So, for those who expect only a speech, this tour my not meet your expectation. We talk about us and ensure that we are a strong team. Sometimes, we go for a coffee or a drink:)

Welcome to Kazimierz, a district proudly listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Before we begin our tour, I’d like to share the story of how Kazimierz was founded—and why it became such an important and unique part of Kraków’s history.

Remuh Synagogue

The Remuh Synagogue was built in 1553 by the banker Israel Isserles ben Josef at the back of his property as a private house of prayer for his family and friends. It was the second Jewish synagogue established in Kazimierz—after the Old Synagogue—which is why it was often called the "New Synagogue." That’s why its history is well worth knowing.

Jan Karski Monument

Jan Karski (1914–2000) was born in Poland (Lodz) and was a Polish diplomat, soldier, and courier for the Polish Underground State during World War II. He is recognized as one of the most important witnesses of the Holocaust, being among the first to deliver detailed reports to the Allies about the Nazi extermination of Jews.
