I’m Nadia 48 year old mum with various professional experiences but unemployed at the moment. The last job was actually a very touristic caffe but unfortunately I had to close it for personal reason. I’m a traveler myself,one of my favorite things to do . I have lots of friends from abroad the came to live in Guimarães,I’m actually their guide in the beginning. I’m a nature person,love animals and gardening. Living in the Green European Capital is a pride for me , it’s a lovely beautiful and clean city. My wish is to show to tourists the best of gastronomy,history and nature from my city, hopefully they’ll love it as much as I do.

Tour description

Hi! I’m looking forward to show you the highlights of my beautiful city history, gastronomy,as well as some of the greener, calm and hidden side of it.

We begin in one of the most historical gardens right in front of the Guimarães Castle, where we can take a small walk.

Going down to Sta Maria Street witch is one of the first city streets, full of tradicional commerce that takes us to the two of the most known squares (Largo Nossa Sra da Oliveira e Praça de Santiago), where you can have a cup of tea or water, as you wish.

Well my trip will take you to lesser - known streets with medieval charm, gardens, to show you Guimarães as living example how tradition and modern eco-consciousness can go hand in hand.

This tour is calm, authentic and thoughtful for travelers who want to go deeper and connect with the local soul of the city.
Ideal for nature lovers,culture seekers and curious minds.

This beautiful garden is in the heart of the historic center. It is the perfect spot to begin our tour, where we will begin by walking to see Castelo de Guimarães.

I will walk you around the crowning jewel of Guimarães, dating back to the 10th century and into a picturesque 11th century chapel where King Afonso, the first king of Portugal was baptized.

We will pass by the spectacular House of Dukes, inspired by French Architecture, where royalty used to stay and presidents still visit.
