Free tour through the historical city of Ghent
Tour description
Ghent isn’t a city you just visit.
It’s a place you have to wander through — where every street has a story to tell. During my tour, I’ll take you on a journey of discovery: not the typical tourist route, but a walk through the places where Ghent truly comes alive.
We start at the impressive Gravensteen Castle, then make our way along the Graslei and Korenlei, crossing the beautiful St. Michael’s Bridge (the best view in town!), and continue to St. Bavo’s Cathedral, where the famous Adoration of the Mystic Lamb still holds a few secrets.
We’ll lose ourselves in the Patershol, an old neighborhood full of narrow alleys, hidden corners, and fascinating stories. Along the way, you’ll spot street art, hear local tips, and discover things most visitors never see.
We finish at the Vrijdagmarkt, where you can grab a drink or simply soak up the atmosphere after the tour.
Note:
This is a walking tour through the city. Entrance to the castle is not included in this tour.
