Tour Description
If you want to feel the beating heart of Brisbane — its history, its green spaces, its riverfront charm — then this walk is for you. I’ll take you on a journey that stretches from city skyscrapers to leafy gardens, from bustling pedestrian streets to tranquil riverside vistas. Whether you’re a first-timer or returning visitor, this tour mixes iconic landmarks, quiet secrets, local stories, and memorable photo spots.
You’ll walk with someone who knows Brisbane — born and raised here, I love showing off both the celebrated landmarks and the hidden corners that locals treasure.
What You’ll See & Experience
Here are the highlights during our walk:
- Post Office Square: Our starting point. A calm oasis in the city, with heritage architecture and a chance to settle in.
- ANZAC Square: A poignant memorial space; we’ll reflect on its significance and the stories it holds.
- Brisbane City Hall & Clock Tower: Step outside this grand building, and if possible, we may head up the clock tower for sweeping views that help you orient in the city.
- Queen Street Mall: The vibrant, pedestrian heart of Brisbane — shops, bustle, street life. You’ll sense how Brisbane moves and breathes here.
- City Botanic Gardens: A green escape. Giant figs, palms, shaded paths. On Sundays, markets bring extra life, but the beauty is always there.
- Goodwill Bridge: Crossing this bridge gives you some of the best views over the Brisbane River. A chance to pause and take in the water, the skyline, the interplay of nature & city.
- South Bank: We end in one of Brisbane’s most beloved spaces. We’ll stroll through the Arbour Walkway, walk through the “Rainforest Walk,” pause at the man-made beach, and finish at The Brisbane sign overlooking the river — perfect for photos & soaking in the panorama.
