I'm a passionate about photography, travel and history. I'm vegetarian and I love share the my city with inquires visitors. I consider it very important to remember the lives and stories of so many women who contributed to the development of society and who were often silenced. So I developed this tour in my city to tell a little about these stories.

Women Who Shaped Porto

This approximately 3-hour tour will take you through places that tell the stories of notable women from Porto, their lives, achievements, as well as interesting facts and short stories that bring these historical figures to life.
It's different because it focuses on the lives and history of the women who left their mark on the city.

Starting Point: Soares dos Reis Museum (Rua Dom Manuel II)
This is where our journey begins, in Porto's cultural heart. 

With many highlights in the middle as the 
Calçada das Carquejeiras, Ferreirinha Statue, 
Museum of the City / Guerra Junqueiro House-Museum

where we remember Virgínia Moura, 
Crystal Palace (and Gardens) to talk about Rosa Mota and much more...

We will end at Rua do Almada.

Starting Point-The guide will be with a PINK t'shirt in front of the main door of the Nacional Museum Soares dos Reis. Here we find works by Aurélia de Sousa, a groundbreaking painter and one of Portugal's most talented artists of her time.

Rua das Taipas
Carolina Michaelis was ahead of her time: the first female university professor in Portugal and tireless scholar of literature. She had an infallible knack for spotting language errors in her colleagues.

Here we honor Antónia Adelaide Ferreira, “Ferreirinha”. Widowed young, she took charge of Port wine businesses, transforming 30 estates and warehouses.
