Tour description
Join us to explore the most famous neighborhood in Rio, discovering secrets, events, and legends of this most charming spot.
We start at Leme’s Fort, making a short and soft walk until the top of Leme’s hill (about 15–20 min under Atlantic forest), contemplating fauna and flora, and getting hosted by the best view of Copacabana and in front of Sugar Loaf too. I’ll have the pleasure to tell you guys, how this neighborhood was raised, challenges, events, and curiosities that happened in Copacabana over these two centuries. Just making sure that Leme’s fort has a short fee to entrance, 10 reais, around 2 dollars, they just accept cash.
Then, we’ll head through Leme’s streets, showing some points of interest, important buildings, and celebrities who lived there. Crossing over Princesa Isabel Ave, I’ll show you how this important avenue was born, and some gossip that happened there.
Keeping our walk to the “quadrilateral of charm”, a hub for gastronomy and nightlife, where are the best and most antique Art Deco buildings of Copacabana, and make a stop at Lido Square (lots of curiosities over there too).
We finish our tour at Copacabana Palace Hotel, the ground zero, the most iconic and well-known hotel of the city, showing you some subtle points and how it was built in the 20s.
