Any optional visits to Akdamar Island, Van Museum, or Van Castle require separate entrance tickets (and a boat fee for Akdamar Island).

At Akdamar Island (Akdamar Church), visitors pay a museum/site entrance fee and, additionally, a separate boat (ferry) fee from Gevaş to the island; At Van Museum, entry is subject to a standard ticket, with optional charges for temporary exhibitions. At Van Castle, there is typically a site entrance fee.
