Discover the most authentic Holland on this free tour of Zaanse Schans, the famous windmill village where the first wind-powered industrial revolution was born. A picture-postcard landscape of wooden houses, green fields, and pure Dutch tradition.

🚆 Important : We will meet directly at Zaanse Schans train station . You can easily reach it from Amsterdam by train (approximately 15 minutes from Amsterdam Centraal). Once you have booked, we will send you a message with information about recommended trains and schedules. Each traveler will need to purchase their own ticket, and the guide will be waiting for you there to begin the tour.

During a 2-hour guided tour, we will stroll among the most emblematic historic mills while discovering how they worked to produce oil, spices, dyes or wood, and why this area came to concentrate nearly 1,000 mills, becoming one of the first industrialized areas in Europe.

In addition, we will visit traditional places such as the clock museum, learn about the history of the first Albert Heijn supermarket, enjoy a tasting of artisan cheeses, and attend a live demonstration of clog making.
