Tour description

Just arrived in Puerto Vallarta? This gay-friendly walking tour is the perfect way to get oriented while discovering the city with ease. Over about 3.5 km (2.2 miles), you’ll explore local flavors and hidden gems along the iconic Malecón (Boardwalk) and the Romantic Zone.

Come hungry and pay only for what you eat (most guests spend about €25–30). You’ll have the opportunity to taste authentic street foods like tacos, shrimp or fish skewers, sopes, desserts, and enjoy an artisanal tequila tasting, plus a few tasty surprises along the way.

Two options available-- Both tours last about 4 hours, have different meeting points, and end at Lázaro Cárdenas Park in the Romantic Zone.

• Morning Tour (Saturdays): Visit a traditional tianguis (street market) before exploring the Boardwalk and Romantic Zone-- Starts 9:30 AM at Las Glorias (outside Organic Café, next to Banorte Bank). Last for about 4 hours!

• Sunset Tour: Explore the Boardwalk and Romantic Zone with a lively evening atmosphere-- Starts 6:00 PM in front of La Bodeguita del Medio (by the sculptures), one block south of McDonald’s, north section of the Boardwalk. Last for about 3.5 hours!

Both tours include different stops and unique experiences. Bringing a small backpack or purse is recommended if you plan to buy souvenirs.

Along the way, you’ll see highlights such as the Vallarta Letters, Main Square, Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Río Cuale Bridge, Lázaro Cárdenas Park, and the nightlife districts of the Boardwalk and Romantic Zone. You’ll also enjoy a tequila tasting—and yes, there may even be a fun tequila spray along the way!
