Free Tour of Bilbao at Night
Before the sun sets behind the mountains that embrace the estuary, we will meet at the Mercado de la Ribera, one of the largest covered markets in Europe, where we will begin this free night tour of the capital of Biscay.
Ready to discover the magic of Bilbao under the stars?
In front of this emblematic art deco building we will enter the Old Town, also known as the Seven Streets, to reach the Cathedral of Santiago.
Afterwards, we'll continue our walk to Plaza de Unamuno, dedicated to the famous philosopher and writer from Bilbao, before arriving at Plaza Nueva. This neoclassical square, full of pintxo bars, comes alive at night.
The route will take us along the estuary to the Arriaga Theatre, a neo-Baroque gem that shines brightly overlooking the Nervión River. Nearby, we'll discover the charming Arenal Kiosk, a silent witness to open-air concerts, and the Church of San Nicolás, with its distinctive octagonal floor plan.
We will then cross one of the most photographed bridges in the city: the Calatrava Bridge or Zubizuri, whose white silhouette is reflected on the waters of the estuary creating an unforgettable scene.
From there we will go to the imposing Isozaki Towers, a symbol of the most contemporary Bilbao.
Two hours later, we will finish the free night tour of Bilbao in front of the spectacular Guggenheim Museum, whose titanium curves shine illuminated on the banks of the Nervión River.
