Discover Trondheim on a relaxed free walking tour through the city’s most iconic places, combining history, riverside views, and local stories.
We start at Brattøra harbour, where modern Trondheim meets the fjord, before following the river Nidelva into the heart of the city. Along the way, we explore the lively Solsiden district and the charming wooden streets of Bakklandet.
We then cross the famous Old Town Bridge, continue past the royal residence Stiftsgården, and reach the main square Torvet, the center of city life.
The tour ends at the impressive Nidaros Cathedral, Norway’s national landmark and one of Northern Europe’s most important Gothic buildings. Please note: entry to the cathedral is not included.
Expect a mix of history, architecture, local stories, and great views — all at an easy walking pace through Trondheim’s most beautiful areas.
