Join our free tour and explore the streets of the Colonial City of Santo Domingo , a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On this tour, you will discover the history, culture, and legends that gave rise to the first permanent European city in the Americas.
During this tour, we will visit some of the city's most iconic landmarks:

Primate Cathedral of the Americas
Ozama Fortress
Columbus Alcázar
Las Damas Street
Pantheon of the Fatherland
Plaza de España
Museum of the Royal Houses (exterior)
Along the way, you will learn stories about Christopher Columbus, Nicolas de Ovando, Diego Colón , and other figures who marked the beginning of colonial history. You will also discover interesting facts about Dominican architecture, traditions, Taíno, Spanish, and African influences, and how the Colonial City evolved to become the historical heart of the Dominican Republic.
As part of the experience, we'll share recommendations on local cuisine, traditional cafes, museums, craft shops, and the best places to continue exploring the city after the tour. There are always surprises!
