Discover the history of Trieste through its connection with the Adriatic Sea. The tour explores Trieste by visiting the squares and monuments that are fundamental to the city's history, always with an eye on the sea from which the city drew its fortunes.
The tour explores the city's piers and docks, starting from the monument of Maximilian of Habsburg, continuing with the heart of Trieste, namely Piazza Unità, the commercial heart with the Tergesteo and Piazza della Borsa, then reaching the Borgo Teresiano with the churches of the Greek and Serbian Orthodox minorities, the Grand Canal, and finally concluding with the church of the German-speaking Lutheran community and the remnants of the ancient shipyards.
