On this 2-hour guided tour you’ll take a walk through the High Line, New York’s only elevated park. The 1-mile-long linear park was created on a section of the former elevated New York Central Railroad on Manhattan’s west side.
Stroll through the Chelsea neighborhood from a unique vantage point, treading along the path once traversed by fire-breathing locomotives! Enjoy surprising views of the Hudson River.
The tour begins at the famous Chelsea marketplace and a visit to an art gallery may be included. Walk through former factories and warehouses, where trains would unload their goods right inside the building.
Hear stories about the famous Meatpacking District and how it was transformed from rows of slaughterhouses to one of the most chic neighborhoods in the world. See amazing architecture ranging from the ultramodern Standard Hotel and the undulating glass curtain design of the IAC building to the Art Deco-era Empire State Building.
