This small-group walking tapas tour is ideal for visitors who want to experience Madrid like a local, with a relaxed, sit-down dinner rather than a rushed snack crawl.
Your evening begins in Plaza de la Villa, where your food‑loving local guide explains how tapas, aperitivo, and social dining shape daily life in Madrid. Walking at an easy pace through the historic centre, you pass Mercado de San Miguel (outside visit only) while learning how locals use markets today.
At your first stop in a traditional local taberna, you will sit down to enjoy chorizo‑stuffed mushrooms or a classic Madrid potato dish topped with crunchy pork belly, paired with a refreshing glass of Tinto de Verano.
At a traditional wine bodega, you will sample Ibérico cold cuts and DO Manchego cheese preserved in olive oil, enjoyed the local way with vermut on tap, a staple of Madrid’s aperitivo culture.
Continuing into La Latina, you visit a historic Castilian restaurant, where you will taste Ibérico croquettes or traditional Castilian sausages, paired with a local Madrid red wine from Spain’s newest official wine region.
At an iconic Madrid bar, you will experience one of the city’s most famous dishes, enjoying sizzling garlic prawns served with freshly baked bread and a glass of red or white wine.
You finish at a traditional dessert café, where you will sit down to enjoy classic torrijas, Madrid’s beloved sweet treat, served with a dessert wine or local digestive.
Throughout the experience, your guide shares stories, local context, and personal tips, creating a social, welcoming atmosphere. All food is included and together makes up a full dinner‑style meal.
