The journey begins with a ride through Lisbon's city center, heading to the ferry terminal. Board a ferry to the port of Cacilhas for a short crossing of ten minutes that offers a refreshing perspective of the river and the 25 de Abril Bridge. Once on the south side, cycle along the historic docks of Cais do Ginjal. Pass by famous riverfront restaurants and old warehouses where locals gather to watch the sunset over Lisbon. Thanks to the electric motor of your bike, you will easily climb the steep cliff ramps that lead to the top of the ridge. Away from the tourist crowds, we will take a break at a secret and unique garden where locals come to enjoy expansive views. You will soon realize why Lisbon is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, with its singular Mediterranean atmosphere. The tour continues through the upper neighborhoods of Almada until we reach the colossal Sanctuary of Christ the King. Standing over 110 meters tall, this monument has blessed the city for more than 60 years. It was built as a symbol of gratitude for Portugal being spared during World War II. Here, you will enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the city and the 25 de Abril Bridge. On the way back down to the ferry, we can explore Almada’s narrow streets or if you are a family make a special stop for kids to see the Barracuda submarine and the Frigate D. Fernando II e Glória—the last sailing ship of the India Route and one of the oldest war frigates in the world. The tour concludes with a ferry ride back to the city center, returning to the starting point.
