A trip to Mt. Fuji is truly unforgettable—but if you only admire its snowy peak from afar, you’ll miss the real thrill. To feel the raw power of the volcano and the wonder of nature, you must visit Ōwakudani, the so-called “Hell Valley.” White mist swirls and sulfurous steam rises, as if you can hear the heartbeat of the earth, each step letting you experience the volcano’s primal force. On clear days, it’s the perfect vantage point for panoramic views of Mt. Fuji, where the sacred mountain meets the volcanic landscape in breathtaking harmony. Don’t forget to try the legendary black eggs, said to add seven years to your life—a unique and magical souvenir. Ride the cable car over the crater and behold the majestic power of nature, a moment you’ll never forget.
At Hakone Shrine, the iconic red torii gate stands proudly by the lake, like a scene from a painting. This sacred site has long been visited by those seeking peace, happiness, and good fortune. Stepping inside, you can feel the harmony of history and nature, bringing a sense of calm to your heart.
You can also choose to cruise on Lake Ashi aboard the sightseeing boat(self-paid), taking in stunning views of Mt. Fuji and the lake’s serene waters framed by the red torii gate. The pirate-ship-style boat is especially fun for photos, families, and group travelers, making every moment a memorable adventure.
Swan Beach at Lake Yamanaka is home to numerous swans that are used to human visitors, allowing for close interaction. With swans and Mt. Fuji in the background, it creates a picture-perfect scene where humans, animals, and the sacred mountain come together—ideal for unforgettable travel photos. Each season brings its own charm: cherry blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer, vibrant foliage in autumn, and snow-covered beauty in winter.
At Oshino Hakkai, crystal-clear springs reflect the majestic Mt. Fuji, with eight natural pools sparkling like emeralds. The tranquil environment and fresh air bring peace and delight with every breath, making it a perfect place to experience the natural wonders of Fuji.
