From London: Stonehenge & Ancient Britain Tour

Experience the ancient past brought to life as you visit one of Britain’s most iconic historic sites - Stonehenge. Departing from London, you journey through the heart of the ancient kingdom of Wessex, a major Anglo-Saxon realm that played a key part in bringing the country together as a single nation. You stop on the way at Runnymede for some refreshments and a walk through a peaceful meadow which witnessed one of history’s most important events: the sealing of the Magna Carta by King John of England. This document started as a peace treaty between a king and his rebellious barons, but it went on to become the foundation of human rights around the world. Your second stop is one of the most puzzling structures in Britain; Stonehenge. Was it an ancient temple, an astronomical calendar, or perhaps the work of Merlin's magic? You'll have a few hours to explore the visitor centre, eat lunch, and see the 5000-year-old stones. Will you uncover the mystery behind why this monument was built? Next, journey to Winchester, the ancient capital of England, where history comes alive around every corner. Wander through charming, cobbled streets lined with timber-framed houses, and soak in the rich heritage of this remarkable city. And make sure to visit the awe-inspiring Winchester Cathedral, the resting place of Jane Austen. After an exciting day, it’s time to unwind and reflect on the beauty and history of all the fascinating places you've explored today, before we arrive in London this evening. You return to London at approximately 7.15pm.

• There is limited space on our mini-coaches, so luggage is restricted. Each passenger is entitled to one 20kg (44lbs) bag - this should be one piece of luggage, similar to an airline cabin bag - plus one small bag for personal items. Please ensure you can lift and carry your own luggage without assistance.
• To maintain the integrity of the tour and to ensure the highest quality experience for all participants, group bookings are limited to a maximum of 8 passengers. Please note that while the vehicle has a total capacity of 16 passengers and you will be sharing the tour with others, this group booking restriction is in place to preserve balance and comfort for all guests on board.
• We don’t carry children under the age of 5. Children under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.
