We start at the top of the town in Chiado and walk down through the historic streets of Baixa and Rossio. Along the way, your friendly local guide tells simple, fun stories about the city's past. No boring history lessons here—just great stories that are easy to understand.
You will get to see a different side of Lisbon. We will pass by 15 historic shops. These are special old shops protected by law to keep the city's traditions alive. You will step inside a beautiful 17th-century Moorish palace and visit the historic Church of St. Dominic to see the marks left by a giant fire in 1959. You will also see the world's oldest bookshop, open since 1732!
We walk at a very slow, comfortable pace. There is always plenty of time to stop, ask questions, and take beautiful pictures.
