Next, you will visit the charming village of Hallstatt. Located between the Alpine mountains and a beautiful lake, Hallstatt is one of Austria’s most famous and picturesque destinations. Take some time to walk through its narrow streets, admire the traditional houses, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this unique village.
Your final destination is Salzburg, famous for its connection to The Sound of Music and its rich musical history. The tour in Salzburg is conducted with headphones, allowing you to hear your local guide clearly while enjoying more freedom to move around. You don’t have to stay close to the group or crowd together, so you can comfortably explore the city and take in the sights while still following the guide’s commentary. As a local guide, they know the city well and can share their knowledge and insights with you. After the guided-tour explore the historic Old Town, walk along its charming cobblestone streets, and discover places connected with the famous movie. Know before you go
- Please note that you will cover approx. 660 km. by motorway on this day. It is approx. 8,5 hours drive with multiple stops. You will spend minimum 1,5 hour in Hallstatt and max. 2 hours in Salzburg. In case of seldom traffic jams, the time can be shortened.
- The tour is still on for tomorrow, except on 31 December.
- This tour is created for inquisitive travellers who want to visit the most important cities in a short time. If you want to get to know these cities in more detail, we strongly advise you to go to each of these cities separately.
- To save your free time in the cities, we also recommend you to bring light snacks and water. You can eat on the bus as long as you don't disturb other tourists.
- Tour is not recommended for infants and very slow-moving disabled persons.
- You can bring your luggage on the bus.
- You can leave our group in Salzburg and return to Vienna at your own expense by train. Please inform us about it before tour starts.
