Beneath the streets of Paris lies a subterranean world that most visitors never reach. Twenty metres below street level, over 200 miles of galleries hold the remains of more than six million former Parisians — transferred here in the 18th century from the city's overcrowded, disease-ridden cemeteries. Wall after wall of carefully arranged bones awaits you as your expert local guide leads you into the Empire of Death — resting place of ordinary citizens, Revolution-era victims, and their executioners alike. This is not the standard Catacombs visit. Your group of seven has underground gates unlocked especially for you, giving access to areas closed to the general public. With only 200 visitors permitted on site at any one time, you'll explore at your own pace, with time to take in the rooms and the stories behind them.
- Benefit from special access to parts of the Catacombs closed to the public
- Enjoy official fast track access to the Catacombs and avoid the long entry lines
- Learn about the fascinating history and stories behind this unique site
The meeting point may vary. Always check the tickets we sent you to confirm the final details before the activity.
