Join us for an unforgettable day on the ultimate cross-border adventure with a full-day tour from Milan to Lake Como, Bellagio, and Lugano. Designed for travelers who want to experience breathtaking alpine landscapes, elegant lakeside towns, and two distinct cultures in just one day, this guided excursion strikes the perfect balance between structured sightseeing and independent exploration.
Morning Departure from Milan Your journey begins at a centrally located meeting point right next to Milan Central Station. Meet your friendly tour coordinator, hop aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned coach, and relax as you leave the bustling city behind and head toward the dramatic peaks of the Italian Alps.
Stop 1: The Elegant Town of Como Your first taste of the lakes region is in the historic town of Como. Enjoy free time to stroll through its charming squares, admire the impressive Gothic-Renaissance Cathedral, shop at local boutiques, or simply grab an authentic Italian espresso by the waterfront.
An Unforgettable Lake Como Private Boat Cruise Next, step aboard for a scenic 1-hour public boat cruise across Lake Como. Feel the breeze as you glide past dramatic cliffs, colorful lakeside villages, and legendary historic villas nestled in the hills. The panoramic cruise takes you directly to the jewel of the lake: Bellagio.
Stop 2: Free Time in Bellagio ("The Pearl of the Lake") Disembark in Bellagio, world-renowned for its cobblestone alleyways, vibrant flower-filled staircases, and luxury villas. You will have plenty of free time here to enjoy a leisurely lunch at a traditional lakeside trattoria, shop for local silk and crafts, or capture postcard-perfect photos from the town's stunning panoramic viewpoints.
Cross the Border to Lugano, Switzerland After soaking up the beauty of Bellagio, a quick boat ride brings you back to the mainland to reboard your coach. Sit back as you cross the border into Switzerland, winding through lush valleys until you reach the sophisticated shores of Lake Lugano.
Stop 3: Lugano's Alpine Charm & Swiss Chocolate Arriving in Lugano, join your tour leader for an insightful walking tour through the elegant historic center. Discover the Mediterranean-style squares, grand architecture, and the beautiful lakeside promenade. Afterward, enjoy free time to indulge in world-famous Swiss chocolates at local chocolatiers, shop along the exclusive Via Nassa, or relax in the lakeside parks.
Relaxing Return to Milan As the sun begins to set, board your comfortable bus for a smooth ride back across the border. Your memorable day concludes back in Milan at the well-connected central station, leaving you perfectly positioned for dinner in the city.
